Protection and finishing
of cement tiles floors

1- Cement tiles floor should be perfectly dry and clean before any protective application.
2- Before sealing, the slabs must breathe and all the moisture evaporates.
3- Evaporation of floor humidity through cement tiles may leave white salt deposits on the cement tiles surface.
4- These white "spots" may be redissolved with water brushing and scrubbing the tile.
5- If the sealing treatment is performed too early over a wet floor result could be darker spots of moisture blocked under the sealant

Floor cleaning protective treatment:
1- Never clean with harsh detergents, acids or alkalis. They would definitely destroy your cement tiles (as they destroy marble, natural stone, limestone or terrazzo).
2- Cleaning cement tile is a result of mechanical action of friction or abrasion, and not chemical action.
3- Clean with mop or brush with water and natural “old granny” soap (green soap, Marseille soap, “Murphy soap” in the US or products for marble).

4- Resisting stains or residues of cement are removed by abrasion with "Scotch Brite" or water sandpaper # 600.
5- Take care removing too much. Perfectly water clear the pigmented flush waste from abrasion.

MOSAIC sealer
MOSAIC SEALER is a solvent based sealer that repels water and oil. It penetrates and saturates the superficial layer of cement and does not alter the natural matte aspect of cement tiles.

1- MOSAIC sealer is applied with a brush or wool roller in very thin layers.
2- Do not apply too much. If, after saturating the slab sealer is applied in excess and do not penetrate any more, would remain in surface spots of dry product and "brushstroke."
3- Always test MOSAIC sealer on a loose tile before applying to the entire floor. In order to measure the grade of absorption of the tiles.

Daily maintenance
1- Never clean with harsh detergents, acids or alkalis. They would definitely destroy your cement tiles.

3- Transparent wax (for marble) enhance colors and protects the tiles, but do not clean and accumulates in layers.
